Isaac Wright is a comprehensive financial planner with a focus on retirement planning and asset preservation for families and retirees. He is well recognized in the community and has been assisting families and retirees reach their financial, retirement, and estate planning goals for over 16 years. He has built a reputation with his colleagues and clients as a problem solver while providing exceptional customer service.
Using an education based approach to planning, Isaac is a frequent, sought after public speaker and has been invited to be the keynote speaker with many groups focused on retirement, estate, and long term care concerns facing families and retirees today.
Isaac is the author of “Navigate Your Way To A Secure Retirement”. He also has appeared on television and other media outlets including CBS, WRVA, The Richmond Times Dispatch and other publications discussing the importance of planning for a successful retirement.
Isaac has been awarded numerous industry accomplishments and among his peers, he has been a member and contributor to several mentoring and private coaching groups including Ed Slott’s Elite IRA group. Isaac is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and is a lifelong resident of the Richmond area. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and exercising at the gym.
Richard founded Financial Dynamics and Associates, Inc. after experiencing the loss of his family in a boating accident. “As estate administrator, I had to educate myself to properly manage all the financial complexities of this situation at a very emotional time. In going through this experience, I found this industry was in great need of trustworthy, caring and knowledgeable professionals. Since 1988 I have dedicated my life to this cause. With over 25 years of experience, Richard is “someone who is committed to having open and honest conversations with families in need of trusted advice” says Isaac. Based on his personal and professional background, he is also well qualified to ensure families are guided to the right professional or staff member.
Ricky Lafon serves as a financial, insurance, and retirement professional here at Financial Dynamics. He has been helping families build a strong, transitional bridge from working to retirement for over 10 years. His track record includes mentoring small business owners and helping other professionals in the insurance and financial industry. Ricky completed his MBA at Liberty University and utilizes his education, experience, and problem solving skills to bring value to the families working with Financial Dynamics.
Ricky is a lifelong resident of Virginia. He was born in Lynchburg and moved to the greater Richmond area in 2005. Ricky is a dedicated volunteer at his church through their community and leadership development programs. He is married to his beautiful wife Katie and has two boys, Aaron and Jadon.
Julie Thompson is a licensed financial and insurance professional. Her specialty is the development, execution, and maintenance of retirement plans for our clients here at Financial Dynamics. Julie’s purpose is to increase the value our clients receive, build life lasting relationships, and help families align their retirement goals with their personal values. Julie understands the time constraints that our clients face balancing life, work, and family. The result often means that families have very little time to devote to their financial house. She is purpose driven and delivers customer service as a matter of priority in today’s fast paced world.
Julie is a member of Women in Financial Services (WIFS), the only national organization that is focused on attracting, developing and advancing women in financial services. She is a Circle of Excellence member of this organization. Julie also has provided worksite advice to employees of large, local companies and has worked with firms such as New York Life, Unum, and Allstate in her 20 + year career. Julie is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. In her free time, she loves antiquing, biking, and sailing any boat anywhere there is water!
Tina joined our firm several years ago with a truly unique skill set to help families here at Financial Dynamics. Tina provides retirement planning support and takes a proactive role in developing deeper relationships with the families that we serve. Tina works directly with Isaac to help clients accomplish and maintain their financial and retirement goals. Prior to joining Financial Dynamics & Associates, Inc. , Tina handled all aspects of office and relationship management with her previous places of employment. This included customer service, purchasing and accounting. She was also a District Manager for a large retail chain where she implemented progressive and innovative training programs for managers and associates in order to excel in client relations. Her personal experience in caring for her mother, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease the last few years of her life, fueled a passion in her to educate and assist families in need of trusted advice. Tina loves spending time with her friends and her three dogs.
Maria brings more than 25 years of client and customer service experience to Financial Dynamics & Associates, Inc. team. As our “go-to” supervisor for over 10 years, Maria acts to oversee the day to day operations of our firm while maintaining up to date reporting for the staff and clients. In addition, she really takes responsibility for keeping the office running smoothly and always is looking to improve our processes. Many of our long term clients have expressed heartfelt gratitude for her willingness to listen along with her assistance to handle any service requests that need to be addressed.
Jan brings years of customer service and marketing experience to Financial Dynamics & Associates, Inc. As our Marketing Director, Jan coordinates all our outreach programs, speaking engagements, and client events. Jan is a graduate of Radford University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. You will always recognize her by her outgoing personality and her drive to put together enjoyable and informative functions for our company. She likes spending time with her family at Kerr Lake, scrapbooking and playing softball.
Vicky originally came to Financial Dynamics & Associates, Inc. as a client. She previously worked as a supervisor in the Chesterfield court system and joined our staff several years ago. During this time, she has become a vital part of our administrative team. “Vicky’s ability to multitask along with her positive personality is what really makes her special” said Isaac. She provides assistance with meeting preparation, case development, and maintaining relationships with our clients here at Financial Dynamics. In her spare time, she enjoys salt water fishing and horseback riding.
Sandy joined our team here at Financial Dynamics as someone truly driven by her passion to help others. After working with students in Chesterfield County for almost a decade, she decided to bring her love of helping others as well as her organizational skills to our firm. “Managing the relationships of families and professionals we work with on a daily basis is essential to providing a positive experience to those who need our help” said Sandy. As a resident of Richmond for the past 17 years, Sandy enjoys reading, gardening, and taking in the culture of our city with her husband, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
Marianne brings over 20 years in customer service and enjoys helping others. Her role here at Financial Dynamics is running the front office. She and her husband have been residents of Chester for 25 years and have two boys and one grandson. She enjoys time with family at Bugs Island (Kerr Lake), going to Ocracoke Island, NC, painting and gardening.
